The life project includes paintings I do when I’m at a crossroads; either about life changing experiences, or petty emotions I’m obsessing with. These are not meant to be earth shattering commentaries, but simply the small revelations of self-awareness.
This is where I house all the works that have no distinctive theme behind them. They are projects that reflect random thoughts and occurrences that I come across ranging from the mundane to the unusual.
As a born and bred Canadian, I am, if nothing else, a rabid hockey fan. While my work dedicated to the sport has declined [mostly due to the complex nature of copyrights], my love for this fast sport of ice, skates, and rubber remains true. Go Oilers!
Music has always been an important part of my life, but a medium I’m fairly mediocre at. Musicians have been people I admire and envy at the same time, whether they’re friends or strangers; alive or dead. This is my homage
to them...or as the French would say, hommage.
My father was a 4th dan taekwondo black belt, but wasn’t allowed to teach me when I was young because I was a girl meant to do “girly” things. I’m decidedly not very girly and didn’t learn to break boards with my feet, but I continue to be intrigued by the art in all its forms.
